CELEBRITY SMILES WHITENING KIT

HOW TO USE THE CELEBRITY SMILES WHITENING KIT?

1. Read the User Manual first before using your LED Light, mouthpiece, and whitening gel.
2. When you first receive your kit, charge the mouthpiece using the USB charger (the mouthpiece comes with only a cursory charge).
3. Floss and brush (2 minutes) before use.
4. Remove the cap of your whitening pen and twist the pen about 10- 20 times until you see a very small amount of gel appear on your pen.
5. You should see a very small amount of gel appear at the tip of the whitening pen If this is the first time you are using the pen It is recommended you shake the wand so the ingredients inside the gel will get mixed together.
6. Apply the gel with the pen, using small light painting strokes over each tooth.
• When you smile, typically only your front 6-8 teeth show so you only need to apply a small amount of the gel on your top and bottom 6-8 teeth. Imagine you are painting a wall in your house and using small, light strokes.
NOTE. The more gel you use does not mean your teeth will be whiter-faster.
• Next, place the mouthpiece over your teeth. Press the mouthpiece firmly against your teeth.
• Push the button on the LED light to begin your whitening session. When you press the button once on your mouthpiece, you will hear a beep.
o The first beep allows 16 blue LED lights to work for 15 minutes.
o After 15 minutes you will hear a beep and the blue lights will turn off.
• When you push the button on your mouthpiece two times (You will hear the beep two times) you are now on the RED LED light setting which can be used to heal, soothe, and comfort.
o Many patients report that the use of the RED LED lights twice a day at the 1st tingling (of a canker sore) will halt unsightly canker sores.
o The Red LED light setting is intended to soothe, heal, and comfort after dental treatment, oral surgery implant placement, etc.
o At the end of 15 minutes, you will hear a beep, and your light will turn off.
• A third push of the button is for Blue and Red LED Lights. This setting has a ten-minute timer.
o At the end of ten minutes, you will hear a beep and your whitening session is complete.
7. The final step is to expectorate any saliva or excess gel into your sink. Then brush any excess whitening gel into your teeth.
NOTE: Do not rinse your mouth with water or eat for 30 minutes.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO WHITEN MY TEETH?

Nighttime is the best time to whiten. Our gel is Carbamide Peroxide and will break down over the next six hours. Go to sleep after your whitening session and in the morning look in the mirror to see a whiter-brighter smile!
NOTE. The gel will last longer when you keep your pens refrigerated.
• Not to be used on primary (Baby) teeth.
• Not intended for women who are lactating or think they may be pregnant.
ADDITIONAL TIPS:
• After your whitening session, for the next 30 minutes, it is recommended that you not rinse with water, eat, or drink any liquids. This will allow the ingredients to work their magic.
• For faster results, you can complete two whitening sessions a day.
• Some people have had great results using a 15-minute session immediately followed by a 10-minute whitening session.
• It's your mouth, so you decide what works best for you!
• If you believe that you did not see any change after 10 or 15 minutes, when you whiten your teeth the next time (in approximately 24 hours), use the 15-minute timer, followed by the 10-minute timer.
o Try 2-sessions back-to-back. No rinsing or eating between these two back-to-back sessions and then nothing to eat or drink for 30 minutes after your two consecutive sessions.
• To maintain the strength and delay expiration of your gel store it in a refrigerator.
• See your dental hygienist for routine check-ups to maintain your beautiful smile.
When you are on a diet and eat healthy for five days, then on the next two days you eat unhealthy foods, you will gain weight. It’s the same with whitening your teeth!
If you assess your shade and it’s a #4 on the shade guide but you want to be a shade 1, you will most likely need to whiten at least ten minutes each day until you reach shade 1. Most patients will experience four shades whiter in 1-2 days but each patients teeth are different.

HOW DO I TWIST THE WHITENING PEN?

FIRST STEP: We recommend that you shake the pen for about 10 seconds to mix up the ingredients inside the whitening pen.
Your kit has been sitting static in your package for a few days. It is best to make sure the ingredients are mixed -up before application.
If your whitening pens are in the refrigerator we recommend you pull them out of the refrigerator about 5 minutes before you want to whiten. Take your pen out of the refrigerator, the floss, and brush. It is not time to shake your pen (mix up the ingredients) and then apply the gel to the teeth you want whiter.
NEXT STEPS:
1. The first time you use your pen you will need to twist the pen about 10-20 times. It depends upon how firmly you twist your pen.
2. Once you see a very small amount of gel at the tip of the bristles, you will apply this to your upper teeth.
o Next, twist the pen a few more times and when you see a tiny amount of gel re-appear, place this on your bottom teeth.

The life of the gel inside your whitening pens is extended when kept at a temperature above freezing and no more than 75 F degrees or 26 C degrees. Keep your pens in the refrigerator and the life of your gel will last much longer.
*** Your whitening gel should not expire for 24 months but we do recommend you keep your pens in your refrigerator. ***

HOW OFTEN DO WE NEED TO REPEAT THE WHITENING TREATMENT?

When using the whitening pens if you want your teeth to remain white indefinitely, depending on your lifestyle, and the foods you eat and drink daily, it is recommended that you use the whitening gel for 10-15 minutes, 1-2 times a week.
For optimal results, we recommend you whiten depending on your perception of how white you want your teeth to look.
For the 1st time whitening, most people will find it works best to whiten for about 10 minutes and for 21 consecutive days.
• Use your shade guide to mark your progress.
There have never been any adverse reactions when a person follows our user guidelines while whitening 1-2 times a week for 10-15 minutes.
The ingredients are dental grade, enamel-safe, and non-toxic. Our whitening products include Potassium Nitrate which is intended to block any tooth sensitivity.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF THE WHITENING GEL?

The shelf life is 24 months.
• To delay the expiration, you can keep your whitening pens in a refrigerator.
• It is always best to keep your whitening pens out of the sun or heat.
The gel will last longer if you keep it in a room with a temperature of 75 F / 26 C degrees or lower.

RESULTS

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?

Each person is different.
Some people tan easily, some will burn, and some will have no change in their tan lines. Whitening your teeth is very similar.
Each person responds to teeth whitening differently.
** In our clinical/dental office settings, the results show most dental patients had a 2- 6 shade change in the color of their teeth after the first 10-minute session and 7-8 shades whiter in 7-10 days.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

DOES THIS PRODUCT CAUSE TOOTH SENSITIVITY?

Our ingredients are dental grade, enamel-safe, and sensitivity-free. The ingredients include Potassium Nitrate Fluoride which creates a protective barrier over the dentinal tubules (microscopic pores inside your tooth). This is what reduces the chance of tooth sensitivity.
** At this point in time (10 years of dental offices using our product with these ingredients) we have not had any reports of tooth sensitivity when people use our whitening products.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN INGREDIENTS IN THE CELEBRITY SMILES CLUB WHITENING PENS?

The main ingredient in the Dental Grade Whitening Gel is 35% Carbamide Peroxide which helps to BOOST the whitening process.
We chose Carbamide Peroxide vs. Hydrogen Peroxide because it breaks up the oxygen molecules inside the gel which whitens your teeth, much slower.
The breakdown of the Carbamide Peroxide more slowly means less chance of tooth sensitivity.
Carbamide Peroxide breaks down over 6 hours.
Whiten at night. Do not rinse or eat before bed after you whiten. Look at your shade guide and mark down your shade.
Look in the mirror 1st thing in the morning. You may be surprised to see how much whiter your teeth are in the morning. Whiter teeth after you whiten at night is possible because the Carbamide Peroxide breaks down slowly.
Then we take SENSITIVITY SERIOUSLY AND.........
We added 6% Potassium Nitrate Fluoride to our whitening gel to help block any chance of tooth sensitivity and the fluoride also helps to remineralize the enamel of your teeth.
* Not too many whitening companies use this one ingredient which blocks sensitivity.
Our ingredients have been used by dentists around the world for over a decade.
All the ingredients break down into oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen which are all naturally occurring compounds even as you inhale and exhale.
Our founder is a dental hygienist and works with dental and medical professionals to ensure your safety when using our products according to the suggested guidelines.

WILL USING THE WHITENING GEL REMOVE STAINS?

Yes! The best way to remove stains from your teeth is to see a dentist and have a routine cleaning by a dental hygienist.
* Using the whitening pens routinely will decrease the chances of stains recurring once they are removed.
The gel will reduce stains and keep them from returning to your teeth. This is only when you routinely use the whitening pens as recommended. Most people touch up their white smile once a week. Again, everyone’s teeth are different. Some people only touch up once a month, others once every three months. You’re in charge of your results!
Some patients use our product when they have Tetracycline stain (stain from an antibiotic) and have experienced great results.
We also hear that their Tetracycline stains disappear with frequent and the recommended use of the CELEBRITY SMILES CLUB whitening products.

IS THIS PRODUCT SAFE TO USE ON FILLINGS, BONDING, VENEERS, CROWNS, OR IMPLANTS?

Yes!
Many people have fillings and fillings are not meant to last a lifetime.
Before you replace old fillings or crowns, especially restorations on your front teeth, consider whitening your teeth before you replace these fillings or get new crowns.
You may notice stains on or around your fillings especially if you have the composite (Plastic type) fillings on your front teeth and you want to have them be whiter.
Crowns can also become stained and sometimes you may have receding gums which both, can make your teeth look discolored.
In these situations, it is best to see your dentist and follow the recommendations should you need a cleaning, fillings or crowns replaced, etc.
NOTE: The best time to begin whitening your teeth is after you just had your teeth cleaned and polished by a dental hygienist AND it's important to whiten your teeth before you update your old filings, bonded fillings, Crowns or Veneers with new restorations.
If you whiten your teeth before upgrading any dental restorations your dentist and their lab will match the shade of your (white) teeth to the new dental restorations.

WHAT AGE IS IT SAFE TO USE WHITENING PRODUCTS?

All the CELEBRITY SMILES CLUB teeth whitening products are very safe but it is recommended that children under 18 years of age do not use teeth whitening products without consulting a medical and/or dental professional first.
It is best to have the adult (permanent) teeth fully erupted so there is no disruption inside a teeth while a tooth is developing internally (the “pulp” where the root and nerves of your tooth may still be developing).

CAN PATIENTS WHITEN WHEN THEY HAVE DENTAL RESTORATIONS SUCH AS FILLINGS, CAPS, CROWNS, VENEERS, ETC?

Yes! CELEBRITY SMILES CLUB whitening products can be used on natural teeth as well as artificial surfaces.
Please note that we recommend you see your dentist if you do see any discolored fillings. This can be a sign of a cavity around your filling or crown, etc.
You may need to have old fillings replaced to get optimal results and the whitest teeth with fillings that match your new white smile.
The best time to whiten your teeth is after you have seen your dentist and dental hygienist for a routine cleaning.
We think that whitening before bed is the best time to whiten. Do not rinse or brush but floss and brush before you whiten. Let the whitening gel work while you sleep.
Consider whitening your teeth before you replace any old, discolored filling or crowns on your front teeth. The dentist and dental lab (If a lab are necessary) can match your new crowns to your beautiful white teeth.
If you see red gums, if your gums bleed when you floss and/or brush, see a dentist and have a comprehensive gum exam with a registered dental hygienist.

HOW LONG DO PATIENTS NEED TO WAIT TO EAT OR DRINK AFTER WHITEN THEIR TEETH?

It is recommended that you do not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes after you have whitened your teeth.
We recommend that you create a routine of whitening when you’re in the shower or applying make-up. Maybe while you are relaxing before bed is a good time for you.
Choose what a good time is and stick to this as part of your whitening routine.
The Celebrity White patented mouthpiece is water resistant.
After you complete a whitening session brush in the excess gel and do not rinse or eat anything for at least 30 minutes.
If you wish to have quick results you can whiten morning and night. At night you will whiten, try doing this, and then last thing before you go to bed.
Bedtime is a great time to whiten because after you floss, brush, and whiten, there is no need to eat or drink until you wake the next morning.
It’s your smile and you decide what your routine will be.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD PATIENTS TOUCH UP THEIR WHITE TEETH?

The beauty of using our whitening product is that you are in control. You decide how white and bright you want your teeth to be!
Once you have achieved your whiter teeth goal, we recommend you check your shade about 3-5 days later. If you are happy with the shade of your whiter teeth, check back in 7 days.
Most people do a 10-minute touch-up session once a week. Some people touch-ups once a month. The choice is yours!

LED LIGHTS AND THE MOUTHPIECE

To Learn More About Charging The LED Light Mouthpiece View This Video:https://youtu.be/jao-InIW1js

HOW DO THE LED LIGHTS WORK?

The CELEBRITY SMILE CLUB LED Light mouthpiece includes the same type of LED light technology used in dental offices when a patient sits in the dental chair to whiten their teeth.
The LED lights have a COOL Light™ technology so the teeth never heat up and using the mouthpiece with 32 LED Lights has shown that most patients will have at least 2 shades of whiter teeth even after ten minutes.
Our mouthpiece with patented dual light technology, harnesses the power of LED lights to safely penetrate the surface of tooth enamel and helps activate the specially formulated whitening gel by releasing microscopic oxygen bubbles from the Carbamide Peroxide.
The blue lights speed up the whitening process and the red lights have healing properties which will help decrease any chance of teeth or gum sensitivity.
There is a 2nd option which is Red LED Lights only. This setting was created to halt mouth sores, and canker sores and to wear after post-op care from dental appointments.

Read more about the benefits here.
The 3rd setting on your mouthpiece is the Blue/Red LED Lights.
This is a ten-minute setting and great to BOOST whiter teeth and you will experience comfort while you whiten because of the red lights.

WHEN DOES THE CELEBRITY WHITE LIGHT / MOUTHPIECE NEED TO BE CHARGED?

The LED lights on the mouthpiece have a cursory charge.
We recommend you attach the little tooth on the end of your USB charger to a USB port and charge for two hours.
When your mouthpiece has a cursory charger, while you charge the light, you will see only a blue light. If you wait until there is little battery life, when you place your mouthpiece in the USB charger, you will notice the blue light flash until it is completely charged.
Once fully charged you can use your LED Light for about 10-15 minutes, each day, for the next week without needing to recharge.
If you use your LED Light every day for a week, at the end of a week you will need to charge your light.
It takes approximately 2-hours to fully charge your LED light.

WILL THE LIGHT TURN OFF AUTOMATICALLY AFTER EACH WHITENING APPLICATION?

Yes. At the end of each whitening session, you will hear a beep from the LED light mouthpiece. When you hear the beep, the lights will turn off automatically and your whitening session is now completed.

HOW DO I CLEAN THE CELEBRITY WHITE MOUTHPIECE?

Rinse the mouthpiece thoroughly with warm water after each use. Dry the mouthpiece with a towel or washcloth.
Do NOT submerge the mouthpiece in water. Use caution to not get the entire unit wet.
Once your tray and the LED light are dry simply place it on your bathroom counter or a bowl in between applications.

WHERE SHOULD THE MOUTHPIECE BE STORED?

Put the mouthpiece inside a small Tupperware container and this fits inside my medicine cabinet. My husband keeps his next to his sink in the bathroom on a washcloth.

THE WHITENING GEL

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF THE GEL?

The shelf life is 24 months from the date you receive your package.
*To preserve the ingredients, you can keep them inside your refrigerator. *
When you are ready to whiten, remove from the refrigerator and let set out for about 5-minutes.
Next, brush your teeth and then shake the pen to mix up the ingredients before you begin to twist the bottom of your whitening pen. Now are ready to apply a small amount of serum on the teeth you want to whiten. Most people whiten only their top and bottom six front teeth.

WHAT IF?

WHAT HAPPENS IF A PATIENT SWALLOWS THE GEL?

There are no known risks for swallowing a small amount of the gel as you whiten your teeth.
Please note that the whitening gel is not intended to be swallowed and if you do swallow a small amount of gel, rinsing with water should be fine.
In the event of an emergency, seek immediate medical help or contact a local poison control center right away. Dial 911 in case of an emergency.

CAN PATIENTS USE WHITENING PRODUCTS WHEN PREGNANT, NURSING OR BREASTFEEDING?

If you are pregnant, nursing, lactating, or breastfeeding, we strongly recommend consulting with a medical professional before starting CELEBRITY SMILES CLUB whitening products or any other teeth whitening program.

IS IT SAFE TO CONTINUE USING THE PRODUCT IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE INITIAL 2-21-DAYS OF A FIRST WHITENING TREATMENT?

There are no known side effects from continued use of our whitening treatments after the first 14-21 days.
Most people continue using the whitening gel 1-2 times a week for touch-ups which keep their teeth white and reduce stains from coffee, tea, red wine, etc.

HAVE THERE BEEN ANY NEGATIVE EFFECTS FROM PEOPLE USING THE PRODUCTS?

CELEBRITY SMILES CLUB teeth whitening products are created with your patient’s safety in mind. This is to be used on natural teeth. It has been shown to remove stains around crowns, composite fillings, general teeth stains, etc.
There are no known negative effects on the gums around your teeth or tooth enamel when you use this product following the written directions. See the User Guide enclosed in your whitening kit.
Red lights are proven therapeutic and help reduce inflammation.
The Blue lights are intended to help release the microscopic oxygen bubbles from the Carbamide Peroxide and have antiseptic qualities which help inhibit negative (Bad) bacteria in your mouth.

WILL PATIENTS’ TEETH BECOME SENSITIVE AFTER USING THE WHITENING GEL?

The whitening products are very gentle on your teeth and gums. Patients should experience zero to very minimal sensitivity. In clinical trials and in dental office testing none of the dental patients experienced sensitivity or irritation.
If your patient currently experiences tooth sensitivity and has never whitened before, to add a layer of security to your patients 1st whitening session, you can apply a 50mg Sodium Fluoride Varnish before they leave the office with their Celebrity Smiles Club Whitening Kit.
Usually, the only time a patient has tooth sensitivity using CELEBRITY SMILES CLUB whitening gel is because there is another dental problem occurring.
It can be beneficial to recommend a patient who already experiences tooth sensitivity and wants whiter teeth, use the BLUE/RED LED Lights setting on the mouthpiece. The Red LED Lights are intended to soothe and comfort.
Please note that a little whitening serum goes a long way! Do not apply gel to your gums. Only apply to your teeth.

WHAT IF PATIENTS DO EXPERIENCE SENSITIVITY WHILE THEY WHITEN THEIR TEETH?

If patients experience any mild sensitivity or irritation, there are a few easy things you can try to help minimize your discomfort:
• Please note that whitening teeth should be used by individuals who know their teeth are healthy and they do not have cavities (Holes in their teeth), infections, or any oral diseases.
• If you do experience discomfort while whitening remove the whitening tray and rinse with water. This should immediately stop any discomfort.
• Make sure you are using the correct amount of the gel to cover your teeth. Using too much gel can cause the solution to drip onto your gums and that can irritate some people. If this does happen, rinse, brush with a mild toothpaste, and rinse again until your gums feel better. You may also want to use an over-the-counter product such as Glyoxide, Peroxyl, or an Aloe Vera Gel to heal your gums should you use too much gel. Do not use a mouthwash or rinse that includes alcohol as this will dry your oral tissues and can cause more pain. Never rinse with straight hydrogen peroxide. This will burn your gums!
• Try to reduce your whitening gel applications to once a day if you have been using the whitening product twice a day.
• You may also want to rotate your applications one day on and one day off.
• Try brushing your teeth about an hour before application.
• If you have tingling on your lips, make sure you use some type of lip balm prior to applying the gel.

If patients do experience anything more than mild sensitivity or irritation, have them stop using the products and ask them to come to the office for a dental exam. Something else is most likely happening with their oral health.
Whitening teeth using Carbamide Peroxide combined with our other ingredients (Such as Potassium Nitrate Fluoride) should make the teeth whitening experience more comfortable.
Using a dental prescription strength 1.1% sodium fluoride gel before bed will usually decrease tooth sensitivity. Using an at-home prescription strength fluoride combined with the professionally applied fluoride varnish helps prevent cavities and tooth-root sensitivity.

WHAT CAN PATIENTS DO IF THEY EXPERIENCE TINGLING OR SENSITIVITY ON THEIR LIPS DURING OR AFTER THEIR WHITENING SESSION?

If patients have tingling or sensitivity on their lips, have them apply an aloe vera lip balm before each application of whitening gel.
If you experience tingling during your whitening session, you have most likely applied (Most likely not your intention) the gel to your lips, and rinsing the lips with water should help alleviate this sensation. Try applying Vaseline or a lip balm on your lips prior to applying the whitening gel.

WHAT IF PATIENTS DO EXPERIENCE TINGLING OF THEIR TEETH OR GUMS DURING OR AFTER A WHITENING SESSION?

First, make sure your patients are using the correct amount of the gel to cover your teeth.
Using too much gel can cause the gel to ooze onto the gums which can irritate some people. If this does happen have the patient rinse mouth and brush with mild toothpaste. Follow up by rinsing with water until their gums will feel better.
